During their time on Spanish reality program Maestros de Costura, or Masters of Sewing, Sergio and Vicente Rives gained recognition for their elaborate designs. They also were quite memorable because of how openly they expressed their faith and deep connection to God.

“The experience of giving testimony to the whole country was really amazing. We really enjoyed it, because we were just ourselves and we were living our faith in such a natural way.”
Their honest expression of devotion did not go unnoticed by fans of the show and other Christians.

“We try to live our faith in our world, in the fame and fashion industry by being ourselves, by being good people and trying to show what we are in our art. Treating others in a kind way and being different but in a good way. To be a Christian in this world you have to show it not just by words but you have to act like that.”

“We found many people in the street. Many people coming to us to say 'thank you,' because we have given them an example on television, because we have talked about our faith with no problem, so we have shown to the country that there are still young people in the church and that there is nothing wrong with it.”
Sergio and Vicente, 31-year-old twins from Valencia, Spain, have strong passions for God and designs. They are always looking to keep God present in their creative processes.

“In the same way that St. Teresa of Avila would find God in her Spanish soup, well, we find God in our designs. I believe that God has given us talent and taste, creativity... everything in terms of design. So, we share God through our creations by doing our job well, by giving everything from our hearts, and making our clients feel appreciated.”
Although Sergio and Vicente did not go on to win the competition, they were able to share their designs on a larger scale. They started their brand “Rives Brothers” in 2013, and have since opened a store in Valencia, focusing on women's wear for special occasions.
