During a gala dinner at Ruspoli Palace in Rome, Mirabile Dictu prizes were awarded to the best Catholic films this year. Among them is this year's Rome Reports documentary, "Benedict XVI, in honor of the truth."

LIANA MARABINI
President, Mirabile Dictu Festival
“Thank you to be here. We have received a lot of films. So this year, the quality was really excellent. It was very difficult to make a choice, but we hope we've made a good one.”

The winner of the best short film was Peruvian Cristian Garcia, for "Conversación."

Slovakian Bernadeta Tókarova was awarded for her documentary "The Black Madonna" about the Our Lady of Loreto.

The film "Pane del Cielo," or "Bread from Heaven" by Giovanni Bedeschi won the award for best director and best film.

The Rome Reports documentary, "Benedict XVI, in honor of the truth," won the special prize from the Capax Dei Foundation.

LIANA MARABINI
President, Mirabile Dictu Festival
"This year my foundation has awarded the Capax Dei award to the film about Pope Benedict XVI, especially because our friends at Rome Reports, who are extraordinary, have made it with a lot of love."

"Benedict XVI, in honor of the truth" has versions in four languages and is already being distributed in dozens of countries and online on Vimeo. It was produced by Rome Reports, with the collaboration of the Ratzinger Foundation, TV2000 (Italy) and the Dr. Tallaj Foundation.

ANTONIO OLIVIÉ
Director, "Benedict XVI, in honor of the truth"
"Speaking about knowing the truth, an award like Mirabile Dictu will help bring more light to the person of Benedict."

RAMÓN TALLAJ
Dr. Tallaj Foundation
"This is something great for me, for my family, and the foundation we represent."

The Mirabile Dictu Festival celebrated its ninth edition this year. Its organizers have received around a thousand candidacies for the Silverfish. Of these, they selected 12 finalists from eight countries.
