One year ago, the Vatican condemned Anthony Apuron, the archbishop of Agaña, Guam, for sexual abuse. The president of the court was Cardinal Raymond Burke.
After the appeal, the Vatican has definitively confirmed the sentence. It finds him guilty of delicts against the Sixth Commandment, with minors.
The Vatican has already removed him from the position of bishop. Now, he is forbidden to approach or temporarily reside in jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Agaña and to use the insignia attacked to rank of bishop.
Apuron is 73 years old. He assures that he is innocent of these charges.
