Pope Francis prays global rosary, begs for end to coronavirus pandemic

Before praying the global rosary at 9pm, Rome time, Pope Francis sends a message to the faithful. He prayed that Catholics entrust themselves to St. Joseph for protection, especially for one intention.

With the Blessed Mother, I beg the Lord to free the world from every form of pandemic. Amen.

He highlighted the difficult time for the global Church and gave some recommendations for those who are under quarantine.

Let's get close to each other, exercising first charity, understanding, patience, forgiveness. By necessity, our spaces may have shrunk to the walls of the house, but enlarge your heart, where others can always find space and welcome.

In addition to an end of the pandemic, Pope Francis also prayed for the country, politicians, doctors, the Church, families and the elderly in solitude. He asked for consolation, encouragement and intercession for the weakest and the poor.
