According to the Italian newspaper, 'Il Messaggero,' doctors have asked the pope to undergo a diet in order to lose 15 to 17 pounds.

This will help reduce the risk of further painful sciatica attacks, which have forced the pope to cancel important events in recent weeks.

In addition to this diet, Pope Francis will have to continue his physiotherapy sessions.

The article explains that the pope has recently undergone several medical tests. The results have ruled out further serious problems with his spine.

In fact, Pope Francis maintains his regular schedule of meetings and gatherings, including the General Audience held on Wednesdays.

Therefore, he plans to celebrate Mass at St. Peter's Basilica this Tuesday.
