“Heaven and earth cry out to our Savior and Redeemer. Maranatha, come, O come, Lord Jesus.”

Fernando Ugarte is a Paraguayan artist who uses his music to communicate faith. “Maranatha” is the title of his latest song, which also features Kairy Márquez.

“[The song is about] finding happiness in times of sickness and loss, bouncing back after a setback and other challenges.”

Fernando has already released two music albums. He says music can heal the wounds of the past, and promote everything that is good.

In “Maranatha,” he describes the Church as a bride awaiting her spouse.

“Longing to be in your presence, she cries out with yearning.”

“Every song contains an experience of my relationship with the Lord. Each from a different aspect of my life.”

Fernando emphasizes how unity is strength. That’s why he invites all young musicians to develop their talents to bring God to every corner of the earth.

“I encourage young people to invest in the grace of using their talents. By that I mean, trying to improve, working to better their voices, buying a guitar, going to church and singing to the Blessed Sacrament.”

Family, friends, and the various missionary experiences he has had – these, says Fernando, are the inspiration behind his lyrics and his music.
