Italy celebrated a day for victims of the mafia. That's why the pope spoke about this issue at the end of the Angelus.

POPE FRANCIS
The mafia are present in many parts of the world and, exploiting the pandemic, they are getting rich through corruption.

These structures of sin, mafia structures, contrary to Christ's Gospel, replace faith with idolatry.

He also reminded that World Water Day is celebrated this week. He called to mind the countless people who suffer because of its scarcity.

POPE FRANCIS
Too many brothers and sisters, so very many brothers and sisters have access to too little water, and perhaps polluted water. It is necessary to guarantee potable water and hygienic services to all.

In fact, the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) signaled in its 2020 report that access to potable water per person has decreased by more than 20 percent in the last 20 years.
