Aid to the Church in Need International launched a fundraising campaign in the days leading up to Christmas to support thousands of people who have been forcibly displaced due to violence, persecution and natural disasters.

This family, one of the many forced to flee Syria, is struggling to make ends meet in Lebanon.

-Dad says that as a child, I became a refugee, like baby Jesus, who also had to flee with his Mom and Dad.

Through the local Church, Aid to the Church in Need supports families by providing them with basic essentials, including food and shelter.

In Mozambique, more than 3,300 people have been killed and nearly one million displaced because of Islamic extremism.

In October, 2020, this man lost his son, who was killed by terrorists. He fled to another city and spent months living in makeshift shelters. Until a priest offered him an opportunity to take part in a micro-credit project to help him get back on his feet.

-He asked me if I would accept. I said yes. All day long I'm selling.

Many countries in Africa, including Burkina Faso, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo, have seen a significant increase in the number of internally displaced people. That's why Aid to the Church in Need continues to put forth efforts to help displaced people rebuild their lives.
