Sustainability will be the new central objective of World Youth Day Lisbon 2023.
Organizers of WYD 2023 have put into practice the sustainability objectives proposed by the encyclical Laudato Si' and the United Nations 2023 agenda.
WYD Lisbon 2023 organizers hope that it will become a turning-point, inspiring partners, volunteers, pilgrims, and the world as a whole to enact more sustainable practices.
This commitment to sustainability follows the framework of Laudato Si' Week, promoted by Pope Francis.
