Pope Francis bids farewell to Canada with closing ceremony

After six days in Canada, Pope Francis ended his pentitential pilgrimage with a closing ceremony at Iqaluit International Airport.

A group of indigenous women sang traditional songs, danced, and played the drums before the Pope greeted delegates from different indigenous groups.

Pope Francis had a final meeting with the Governor General, Mary May Simon, in the VIP Hall before boarding the plane to Rome Fiumicino Airport.
