Cardinal Adalberto Martínez Flores served as the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Asunción, Paraguay. He is the first cardinal from Paraguay in the history of the Catholic Church.
He has been a priest since 1985 and was made a bishop by St. John Paul II in 1997.
