Afer praying the Angelus, Pope Francis asked for prayers for the more than 150 people who suffocated to death in Seoul, South Korea after a human stampede in a downtown area.

And we also pray to the Risen Lord for those—especially the young people—who died last night in Seoul from the tragic consequences of a sudden crowd crush.
The Pope also asked for prayers for the more than 100 people in Somalia who lost their lives in a fundamentalist attack claimed by the Shabaab group.
Reflecting on the Gospel for the day, Pope Francis expressed this message of hope.

At the end, the Pope asked for an applause for the new Colombian Blessed, Mother Maria Berenice, foundress of the Little Sisters of the Annunciation, who died in 1993.
