A child dressed as cardinal among thousands of pilgrims who welcomed the Pope with joy

On the third day of Pope Francis' trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo, as Francis delivered his homily, a child walked around the runway of Kinshasa's Martyrs' Stadium blessing some 65,000 pilgrims, who cheered him on and sang songs. "You are great, I like these songs," the Pope told them.

The Democratic Republic of Congo currently has one cardinal, Fridolin Ambongo Besungu, 63 years old and therefore a voter. Francis created him at the consistory of October 5, 2019.
