This Holy Thursday, Pope Francis imitated Jesus' actions at the Last Supper by washing the feet of twelve inmates at Casal del Marmo, a juvenile prison in Rome. Among them were boys and girls of different backgrounds.
The Pope joked and spoke with them. Due to his knee pain, he did not kneel. Instead, the inmates sat on a raised bench so the Pope could wash their feet while standing.
