Anglican Archbishop thanks Pope Francis for coronation gift to King Charles III


Pope Francis welcomed the Anglican Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, in an audience. 

During the meeting, the Archbishop did not miss the opportunity to show his gratitude for Pope Francis' gesture towards the current King of England. 

Thank you for the relique of the True Cross that you gave to king Charles.

The Anglican Archbishop of York was present at the King's coronation at Westminster Abbey. 

In his meeting, he was accompanied by Archbishop Ian Ernest, director of the Anglican center in Rome.
