Pope Francis checked into Rome's Gemelli hospital on Tuesday morning for clinical examinations.
At the age of 86, he was cared for in the hospital's Aging Medicine Center and his appointment lasted approximately 40 minutes, as reported by Italian media.
This check-up comes only two months after Pope Francis was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with bronchitis. He was discharged after three days.
On May 26, the Pope had a fever and canceled his events, yet returned to his schedule the following day.
Despite a few health complications, Pope Francis continues his regular activities and has upcoming international trips to Portugal and Mongolia.
