The way many Americans view traditional marriage between a man and a woman is changing radically. Studies claim that, today, nearly 70% of Americans say they approve of same-sex marriage. 30 years ago they were half that number.

This changing mindset is most recently reflected in this month’s election. California, Colorado, and Hawaii all voted to modify the traditional definition of marriage within their respective States.

Similarly, views on abortion are changing too in the United States. According to the Pew Research Center, nearly two thirds of Americans interviewed said they were in favor of abortion being legalized in all or most cases.

Again, this month’s election results appear to confirm that view with seven U.S. states voting to expand abortion rights, and only three rejecting similar amendments.
