On the third day of Pope Francis' trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo, as Francis delivered his homily, a child walked around the runway of Kinshasa's Martyrs' Stadium blessing some 65,000 pilgrims, who cheered him on and sang songs. 'You are great, I like these songs,' the Pope told them.

The Democratic Republic of Congo currently has one cardinal, Fridolin Ambongo Besungu, 63 years old and therefore a voter. Francis created him at the consistory of October 5, 2019.
