It is also entrusted with the mission of speaking clear words to reject everything that harms life and hinders its development, and of taking a stand in favor of the poor, the exploited, the victims of violence and war, and all those who suffer, in body and in spirit.
With these words, the pontiff emphasized the active role of the Church in the face of injustice in today’s world, insisting on its commitment to the most vulnerable.
