“Se buscan rebeldes,” or Rebels Wanted, is a YouTube channel that proposes not always just going with the flow.

It was launched in September 2020, and its content has reached nearly 1.5 million people.

Producer, “Se buscan rebeldes”
“This project, 'Se buscan rebeldes,' was born in the middle of the pandemic, in March 2020. It grew out of a restlessness of a group of friends, lay people and priests who wanted to evangelize, to talk about God on the Internet, which Pope Francis has called its own continent. There is a lot of work to do there. Internet searches show that people are looking for answers to basic questions that the Catholic Church can answer.”

“Have you ever done anything that made you feel disgusted with yourself? Well, don't worry. God forgives everything.”

“In this video, we'll see how what we do with our body affects our soul.”

The videos use a simple and straightforward style. The key to their success is the time spent on the scripts and the visuals.

The producers say they want to evangelize. Their goal is to give a Christian answer to current questions, in a clear and positive way. For example, What is the meaning of suffering? What is the meaning of life? Is pre-marital sex okay?

“It's catechism for Millennials, of course, but not only for Millennials. It's so much more. What we are doing is spreading the Gospel using an audiovisual format.”

Despite having only started a few months ago, the series has had thousands of views. Its social media accounts have thousands of followers and subscribers, and new content is published every Thursday.

It's a new and ambitious project that is slowly spreading across the world, thanks to the power of the internet.
