Pope Francis: No people is criminal and no religion is terrorist

February 17, 2017. Pope Francis has sent an important message to the Meetings of Popular Movements that is taking place in Modesto (California). The pope denounces the "moral blindness of this indifference”: "under the guise of what is politically correct or ideologically fashionable, one looks at those who suffer without touching them. But they are televised live; they are talked about in euphemisms and with apparent tolerance, but nothing is done systematically to heal the social wounds or to confront the structures that leave so many brothers and sisters by the wayside”.

Pope Francis at Santa Marta: How do I proclaim the Gospel in my life?

2016-04-22

During his homily at Casa Santa Marta, the Pope said that a Christian must proclaim the Gospel, as the apostles did, throughout the world.

He explained that it is necessary to be men of hope, who rely on the help of God and know He will not leave them at any moment.

POPE FRANCIS
"We can ask ourselves: 'How do I announce God's message in my life? How is my relationship with Jesus who intercedes for me? How is my hope? Do I truly believe that the Lord is risen? Do I believe that he prays to the Father for me? Every time I call on him, He prays for me; He intercedes for me. Do I truly believe that the Lord will come again? It would do us good to ask ourselves about our faith.”

Pope Francis explained that there are three important aspects to reflect on: announcing the Gospel, hope and God's intercession for men.

Today marks the 43 year anniversary of the Pope's solemn religious profession into the Society of Jesus.
