Grammy and Dove Award winning Christian singer publishes 55th recording

Grammy and Dove Award winning singer, John Michael Talbot, has released his 55th recording called "The Inner Room.”

Christian Musician
"'The Inner Room' really came out of my own prayer life. What I do is I pray, I do a devotional reading, I enter into my sacramental life, and music comes out of it. It's a very natural process.”

When creating this album he said he began asking questions and meditating on how God would respond to the news and recent events in the world, such as politics or the situation in the Middle East.

Resulting from prayer, his songs revolve around different Biblical themes such as the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount.

Christian Musician
"So I really wanted to focus on the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes and to bring that out as a musical expression. Because when I did it, what I discovered was I was really challenged, really challenged.”

He collaborated with other musicians such as Ricky Skaggs who is a Multi-Grammy Award winner and Bluegrass musician, Phil Keaggy who is a Multi-Dove Award winning guitarist, as well as mixdown consultant Bill Halverson.

Christian Musician
"We spent half our time talking about Jesus and half the time making music. We had a blast! It was a great record and we had a lot of fun doing it. I hope people really do enjoy it."

The album features 10 songs and is available in physical CD form, on iTunes and Amazon.
