There is only one month until Pope Francis' visit to Colombia, and in preparation of welcoming him, united Catholic Musicians of Colombia has released a lively song where he is the protagonist.

It is entitled, “Let us take the first step,” and it refers to Pope Francis as a messenger of joy, light and peace.

"We waited for you with open doors, and with our souls ready to receive your blessing. You bring us light, you bring us peace, you bring us words of Truth."

This song is just an example of the Colombian people's excitement a visit that has been a long time in the making.

"Colombia welcomes you with open arms, we say to you very happily in one voice, Blessed be God in His wisdom. He has brought you to our lands to be our guide."

Pope Francis said he would not travel to Colombia until it was a united country, and this video is an example of how the pope manages to bring everyone together.
