This is the welcoming the World Congress of Accountants, gave to Pope Francis.

'Francis. Her name is Francesca, just like you.

The group represents over 2 million professional accountants from 124 countries. Hundreds made it to Rome to meet with Pope Francis.

In his speech, the Pope reminded them that public service should come before monetary gains.

POPE FRANCIS
'I ask all of you, especially those whose profession entails the well being of a country's economic system, to carry out a positive and constructive role in your daily work, recognizing that behind every sheet of paper, behind every story, there's a person.

He also called for a system that doesn't take advantage of the weak and one that doesn't put money above everything else.

POPE FRANCIS
'Economics and finance are two dimensions of human activity. This can trigger an opportunity to meet, discuss, cooperate to recognize rights, services and the dignity of one's work. But it's necessary that people and their dignity be at the center of this process. That way it can counteract, the dynamics that tend to standardize everything and put money above it all.

The Pope then highlighted the need for ethics in economics, finance and the workforce.
