Every Wednesday, Pope Leo gives an audience to the civilians that congregate in St. Peter’s Square. At this gathering of the pope with his people, there is time for catechesis, greetings, and dancing as well.
This group is from Calabria and they give it their all when showing Pope Leo XIV their traditional dances.

We have gathered here specifically to present our tradition to the Pope.
The high temperatures didn't manage to prevent the music from connecting with the whole plaza, attracting many nearby pedestrians.
Several married couples also tend to attend the audience, such as Juala and Dhoni, who are from India and came to the audience to meet the pope.

I could only tell him that we were from India: «Okay, welcome to Italy»; That was the only thing he could tell us.
This is the only opportunity that we will have, in all of our lives, so we enjoy it so much. Besides, it is the only ocasión that we will be able to wear this outfit again in a few days. Also, we made a montage of selfies while we were sittig there, because the day of the wedding, we could not do it.
