Pope Francis meets with Lutheran pilgrims this morning in the Vatican. ;
The meeting starts at 11:45 a.m. This event takes places just a few days before the start of the events commemorating the ;500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, ;which is in 2017.
The pope will travel to Sweden from October 31 to November 1 to ;participate in an ecumenical event with the Lutherans. ;
