Once his plane landed at the Bogotá airport, Pope Francis ascended into the popemobile toward the Embassy of the Holy See.
It was about a nine miles between the airport and the Embassy, and during this entire stretch thousands of people were awaiting him on the road.
Some gave him gifts, and others even tried to get into his car.
Once he arrived at the Embassy, he was greeted by a big applause, followed by gifts and dances. One group even created a personalized song for him. The pope thanked everyone in attendance, and closely watched each of the shows they prepared for him.
