Masks are not just being used by doctors and nurses these days, but by everyone who dares to leave the house during COVID-19.

Sifting through the various masks on the market is now made easier - an Italian doctor has broken them down in terms everyone can understand.

These are masks for an unselfish person.

These are surgery masks, commonly used by doctors. They won't protect you from any germs in the air, but they will protect others.

These are for a selfish person.

These, with the filter on them, are able to protect the person wearing them, but not other people. If the person coughs or sneezes, it is able to infect others.

He recommends putting a surgical mask over, to protect both parties.

These protect the person wearing them and others. So this is the intelligent mask.

He shows two types of “intelligent masks” that both work the same.

Regardless of which mask is used, health professionals recommend placing it over both the nose and mouth to work effectively. Also, masks should be thrown out after each use or sanitized without getting them wet, which would destroy all filtering properties.
