Pope Francis warned of the danger of feeling better than the others. He said there is also an attitude within the Church and that it has a name: elitism.

POPE FRANCIS
This sense of elitism that can go through the Church. For example, 'No, I am from that institution, I am a part of this movement, which is better than yours, than this and that one. It's an elitist sense. This isn't Christianity. Christianity is being part of a people, a people chosen by God, freely.

The pope said that when that sense of belonging is lost, the door opens to other evils that divide and separate in the Church.
