Her songs speak of God, and praise is a constant theme. Paulina Rojas explains that “Bendecir tu nombre,” Spanish for “Blessing Your Name,” is one of her favorite songs.
It’s a song I like because it makes me think: ‘Paulina, look in the rearview mirror with God.’ That is to say: look at my history and see how God passes through it.”
Paulina Rojas is now a widely followed Christian music artist in Latin America. However, she says that the topic of God was something that gradually emerged in her life.
After living her early teenage years with very little faith, at 15, she converted during a religious retreat. Later, Paulina discovered that music helped her connect deeper with God and strengthen her faith.
“I was a timid girl, and every time I played the guitar, I managed to connect with God when there were no words to express myself or when I didn’t feel like it.
Paulina is now married and has a 13-year-old daughter. Her whole family is also dedicated to evangelization. She says her music is not a hobby but a way of carrying the faith.
“Tuya es la Gloria,” “Yours is the Glory” is one of her latest songs. She defines it as an experimental approach and an escape from her comfort zone.
“It was a different project that completely took me out of my comfort zone. I wanted it to be something different, something original, modern and fresh. I also wanted it to show that blessing that God puts in the heart, which always makes everything new.”
The use of social media has been an effective method for Paulina to help expand her music ministry. She is very active in her various Twitter or Facebook profiles. There, you can find updates on her upcoming events and all the messages of hope that her songs convey.
