Pope remembers sick and elderly spending Easter in residence homes

During the Regina Coeli on the Monday after Easter, the pope sent an affectionate greeting to seniors and the sick in residence homes or hospitals.

To them I send words of encouragement and recognition for the example they give. I am close to them. I hope that they live these days of the Easter octave with faith.

Before, he spent some time reflecting on the meaning of Jesus’ Resurrection, and he invited Christians to let Jesus into their lives.

To find Christ means to discover peace of heart. The same women of the Gospel, after initially being shaken, experience great joy in discovering the Master alive.

It was the conclusion of a very rich month, full of encounters and papal visits, like the trip to Iraq and Holy Week. Now Pope Francis will resume his normal schedule.
