Pope Francis sent a message to participants at the International Youth Festival in Medjugorje, which is taking place from August 1-6.
The Pope proposes three steps to grow spiritually: concretely helping others, adopting an attitude of love and self-giving, and having the courage to follow Jesus.
He also encourages young people at the Marian Shrine to spend this week of prayer asking the Virgin Mary to help them find the strength to accept God's call.
