This is the 25th edition of the “Edades del Hombre” (Ages of Man) exhibition, put together by the foundation of the same name, which has been preserving and diffusing religious art for 33 years. For the first time, the exhibition is being hosted in three different cities.

ENRIQUE MARTÍN
“Edades del Hombre”
ORIG. SPANISH
“It is special because we are commemorating two very important events: the Burgos Cathedral's 800th birthday, and the fact that we are in the middle of a Jacobean Year.”

Burgos, Carrión de los Condes and Sahagún are the cities in charge of hosting the five sections of the “Edades del Hombre” exhibition. All three sites are closely linked to the Virgin Mary and the Way of St. James, which are at the core of the exhibition. This edition of the exhibition is called “LUX” and refers to the light of Spanish Gothic cathedrals and the mission of Jesus' mother in the Church.

ENRIQUE MARTÍN
“Edades del Hombre”
ORIG. SPANISH
“What we want to celebrate with this exhibition is that Mary is the Virgin of Light, because she brought us Christ, whom we recognize as the Light of the World.”

Spanning three cities, Burgos, Sahagún and Carrión de los Condes, “Edades del Hombre” opens a window to the light of some of the best religious art of Castile and León.
