Ignacio Gil is Nachter, one of the most famous Spanish-language influencers. You may have seen him on Facebook, Instagram or on TikTok, where he has ten million followers. The secret of his success is his family-friendly humor which everyone can relate to.

I saw that there was a lack of this kind of content, a light humor for the whole family.
I try to make videos that the whole family could watch. That parents could let their children watch without worrying that they would get scared, that something would show up that wasn't part of the formation and values they were teaching their children.
For Ignacio Gil, being an influencer is just a hobby. He is not concerned with gaining followers but rather making videos that can bring families together at a time when each of its members consume very different content. That's why they focus so much on the relationships between parents, children and siblings.

Sharing content together is like when you watch a movie in theaters with your family and you all go to see it. So I think it makes a family. And yet, if there's a son with his YouTube, the mother with her Facebook videos, the father on the computer or whatever and you don't have anything in common.... Well, it doesn't mean that the family is going to come apart. But it is true that there is not as much unity. And what I tried to do with these videos was to create a family.

Despite his huge success on social media, Ignacio Gil combined making videos as Nachter with his job as a restaurant purchasing manager, and writing a doctoral thesis. During the outbreak of the pandemic, his restaurant was closed and he put everything into his personal project. A decision that, he says made him ask more from himself.

The intention was to say, well, even if I don't feel like it, I'm going to keep working as many hours as I can. Because if I were doing it for someone else, I would do it.
'These twelve or thirteen hours I'm going to dedicate to videos.' And that's why so many videos were being uploaded and we were doing so many projects.
His height to fame came during the height of the pandemic. With all the time in the world to make videos and so many users trying to distract themselves at home, Nachter's content spread like wildfire. Ignacio fondly remembers receiving messages from people in hospitals watching his videos.
Now, he tries to devote all his free time to bringing families together through humor.
