Good morning.

Good morning.

Sorry to make you wait.

Félix Bolaños, Spain's Minister of the Presidency, met with Pope Francis. He gave him bananas from La Palma, the island that was hit by a devastating volcanic eruption inn 2021.

The island's production was affected and now the bananas from the Canary Islands are famous worldwide and bananas from La Palma are priceless to them.

He also brought Pope Francis saffron from Villafranca de los Caballeros, the town where the minister's wife and father are from, and told the Pope it was the best in the world, as well as olive oil from the south of Spain.

He also brought a replica of a book of songs written by the former king of Spain, Alfonso X.

It was made in a workshop of national patrimony formed by unemployed people. Young unemployed people. And they have made this expressly for you.

The minister highlighted the stories about Toledo, a city where the three great religions lived together peacefully in the Middle Ages.

For his part, the Pope presented him with a sculpture on peace and explained the details of his most famous texts.

The best known are Fratelli Tutti and Laudato Si', the one that is not so well known is Dear Amazonia, but it is with Laudato Si' on the environment.

The Pope also shared the dialogue he had with the great imam of al-Azhar which was the seed for his encyclical Fratelli Tutti.

This is the origin. And from here I continued to reflect on it and came up with Fratelli Tutti.

Due to pain in his right knee, Pope Francis remained in a wheelchair for their entire meeting.
