At the British Embassy in Rome, mourners leave flowers and notes before spending some time in silence remembering Queen Elizabeth II.
But the Queen's death has impacted more than just those in the United Kingdom. People from all parts of the world are reflecting on the life of the Queen who had become a role model for many.
She was very important for us, for every woman in the world. She demonstrated that a woman can have a great impact on every political situation, social situation, and she was an image of perfection for every woman in the world.
For All Saints Anglican Church, the center of the Anglican community in Rome, the news of the Queen's death meant providing them a place to mourn together.

Our instructions were to open our church, were to place a table and a condolence book in a visible place and to light the Easter candle and to welcome the community. And as priests to be pastorally available to people who might be grieving.
A little home away from home.
Though the Anglican community cannot hold a memorial service until after the funeral in England, the community is coming together to remember Queen Elizabeth and her life.
The Queen's death has shown Fr. Warren, pastor of the church, that her impact extended far beyond the UK and the commonwealth.

Interesting that the majority of people that have come through this morning—and we've had several hundred people coming through signing the condolence book, lighting a candle—most of them have been Italians. And there's obviously been—she has an influence and an ability to touch the hearts of people beyond her realm, so to speak.
Queen Elizabeth II's death will continue to impact people everywhere as communities around the world join together in remembering the longest ruling British monarch.
