Belgian bishops meet with Pope Francis for their ad limina visit to Rome


Pope Francis met with Catholic bishops from the Flemish speaking part of Belgium duirng their 5-day ad limina visit to Rome. They began the trip with a Mass celebrated in the crypt of St. Peter's Basilica.

In the Apostolic Palace, the Pope held a closed door meeting with the bishops. They were expected to discuss the text published in September that appears to bless same-sex couples.

This is the first time since 2010 that the Belgian bishops have come to Rome for the ad limina visit.
