At the General Audience in Saint Peter’s Square, Pope Leo XIV presided together with His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Cilicia.
The meeting focused on ecumenism, Christian unity, and an urgent call for peace in Lebanon and the Middle East.
Before the catechesis, Pope Leo XIV offered a fraternal greeting to Aram I and his delegation, highlighting his commitment to theological dialogue. Once the speeches had concluded, they joined the pontiff in a sung prayer, creating a moment of unity and rapprochement between the two Churches.
