A choir performed the song “Iglesia peregrina de Dios” and Pope Leo XIV didn't stay behind: he sang the entire song, as did Cardinal Daniel Sturla, who accompanied him on stage.
It happened in Casavalle, during a meeting between Pope Leo XIV and the city of Montevideo's most vulnerable. In that area, the Church runs numerous charitable works to support the local population.
