On the evening of Tuesday, June 9, Pope Leo XIV arrived at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium in Barcelona for the youth prayer vigil. With room for more than 55,000 people, the meeting with young people is expected to draw the largest crowd of his visit to the region.
Upon his arrival, Pope Leo XIV was warmly welcomed by the thousands of faithful gathered to participate in the vigil. One of the recurring images of this apostolic journey has been the Holy Father’s affection for children, and once again he paused to hold and bless the babies presented to him by their families.
