Pope Francis has received a very interesting dare from 'Million Dollar Vegan.' They've launched a global campaign to raise awareness of animal suffering in the livestock industry and its impact on the environment and on the health of humans.

In this video, 12-year-old activist Genesis Butler challenges Pope Francis to go vegan during Lent, proposing a big prize in return.

GENESIS BUTLER
“We're asking Pope Francis to go vegan for Lent. If he agrees to go plant base we'll give him one million dollars to the charity of his choice. Farming animal for food has a greater impact on global warming than the fueled missions of every car, bus, train, ship and plane on the planet combined.”

This proposal is inspired by the pope's encyclical to save the environment, 'Laudato si'. In it, Pope Francis proposes a lifestyle change to stop the destruction of the planet and calls for greater environmental responsibility.

JOSEPH MOORE
“One of the most powerful things that you and I can do today is change our diets.”

According to a UN study published in 2018, humanity only has 12 years to avoid a catastrophe due to Global Warming, which generates its activities and excesses.

Now we will only wait to see if Pope Francis accepts this proposal or not.
