Pope bids farewell to Panama

Despite being punctual, Pope Francis did not have much time left in Panama once arriving to Tocumen International Airport. He was received by the President of Panama and his wife with whom he had a brief private meeting.

Afterwards, Pope Francis greeted the pilgrims who came to say goodbye to him before heading back to Rome.

The pope also bid farewell to the country's cardinals, bishops and the rest of the authorities.

As the World Youth Day song for Panama played in the background, Pope Francis concluded his 26th trip and boarded the plane to take him back to the Vatican.
