Pope Francis begins his 37th international apostolic journey, this time to Canada. The Pope will apologize to indigenous groups for the abuses they suffered caused by members of the Church.

After leaving Casa Santa Marta, he went to Rome’s Fiumicino airport by car. There, he greeted the airline staff that will take him to Edmonton while in a wheelchair.

He boarded the plane using an elevator just as he did to his trip to Malta.

Pope Francis left Rome at 9:16am and will land in Canada at 11:20am.
