Pope Leo XIV is using the summer to pray, read and exercise, while also devoting time to music. On Saturday the 18th, he attended a concert presented by the Diocese of Albano, and on Wednesday July 29th, he will listen to none other than Andrea Bocelli perform the Canticle of Peace.

The performance will take place at the Borgo Laudato Si in Castel Gandolfo, and Bocelli will not be alone: he will be accompanied by approximately 160 choir members, ages 5 to 18, who will participate in the global “ABF Voices of” gathering. This is an initiative of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, which brings together children from vulnerable backgrounds in Uganda, Jerusalem, Camerino, and Naples.

The project is celebrating its 15th anniversary, and the children will spend a few days together, participating in activities and cultural exchanges. They will perform for Italian President Sergio Mattarella and then meet with the Pope.

This will be Bocelli's second time performing for Pope Leo XIV at Castel Gandolfo, as he did so last September on the occasion of the inauguration of the Borgo Laudato Si.
