Pope Leo XIV welcomed a delegation of Italian seminarians on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the seminary in Molfetta and the 300th in Aversa.
The Pope encouraged the seminarians to view their calling not as something earned, but as a gift to be celebrated, the fruit of the soul’s intimate dialogue with God.
LEO XIV
In a world so eager to celebrate self-actualization, it is truly important to reiterate that none of you and none of us are here because we deserve it, but solely because of God the Father’s free choice, a sign and pledge of a gratuitous love that always precedes us and never disappoints.
The pope bid farewell by thanking the seminarians for their commitment and their families for allowing them to go and serve souls.
