Gabriel Eshel, the DJ mixing electronic music with Catholic themes
Gabriel Eshel is a Mexican DJ. His passion for music began at age 10, focusing on electronic music. Yet, he said nobody composed Catholic songs in that genre, so he decided to produce his own electronic music about God.
"I couldn't find a lot of music that I liked. When I searched for Catholic electronic music, I couldn't find it. So having my talent that began to develop in a area of need, I started doing it myself."
Gabriel wants to leave a message with young people and created the project "100 concerts 4 Peace." It is a tour of 100 electronic music concerts, that encourage attendees to take faith seriously.
"I performed 100 concerts here in the city of Guadalajara and in some places in Mexico, with the intention of sharing God's message. The result was peace."
This project has helped many people. For this reason, he will repeat it at World Youth Day in Panama, where he will share his electronic sound with thousands of young people from all over the world.
"It's a great blessing. It's the first time I can go and I think it will be very good. I believe it is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Church, as young people and also as musicians."
In addition to music, Gabriel Eshel has a video blog on YouTube where he tells his experiences and explains how he lives out his personal faith.
