On his first day returning to a full schedule after hospitalization, Pope Francis met with American politician and diplomat John Kerry, who currently serves as the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate.
Kerry gifted the Pope books by an American marine biologist and author that brought awareness to environmental harm, an issue he believes can only be resolved if all people work together.
There is one thing I always think about: that you can only look down at a person from above to help them and lift them up.
Before the close of the meeting, John Kerry expressed his gratitude to Pope Francis.
Holy Father thank you so much, so special to see you. I really appreicate this relationship.
